On the morning of September 24, Fine‑Blend held this special training for its entire workforce, with Professor Qian Chunhai presenting his keynote Macroeconomic Trends and Policy Analysis. The session was designed to help employees develop a solid grasp of China’s domestic macroeconomic landscape, appreciate how macro conditions shape the advanced polymer materials industry, and build stronger capabilities to anticipate shifts in downstream market demand.

Professor Qian Chunhai holds a Doctorate in Management and serves as Professor of Economics at the Teaching and Research Department of the China Pudong Executive Leadership Academy. His research focuses on macroeconomics, fiscal and monetary policy, strategic emerging industries, global industrial transformation and regional industrial planning. He has led multiple research projects backed by the National Social Science Fund of China, as well as Shanghai’s municipal social‑science and natural‑science funds. He has authored over 50 publications in authoritative outlets such as Economic Daily and China Industrial Economics. Well‑regarded for his interpretation of domestic and global economic conditions and industrial policies, Professor Qian has delivered numerous briefings for enterprises and institutions across the manufacturing and new‑materials space.

The training revolved around a core thesis: “Policy shapes short‑term performance; supply underpins long‑term growth; policy drives demand.” Professor Qian walked participants through the analytical framework for GDP growth, unpacking economic‑growth mechanisms across both demand and supply sides using three statistical methodologies: the expenditure, production and income approaches. Drawing on the latest 2026 industrial operational data, he analyzed development patterns across China’s three major industries, outlined key drivers of domestic economic performance in the first half of the year, and mapped the economy’s current cyclical traits. Participants gained clear visibility into how macroeconomic headwinds and tailwinds, alongside shifts within manufacturing, create both opportunities and challenges for advanced polymer materials, modified plastics and their full spectrum of downstream applications.

Following the presentation, employees engaged in an open exchange with Professor Qian, raising questions covering how macroeconomic cycles influence downstream customers’ purchasing timelines, as well as policy‑related risks in overseas markets. Many participants commented that the training enabled them to step back from day‑to‑day operational work and view market changes from a higher‑level macro perspective — a practical asset for forecasting customer demand and capitalizing on industry opportunities moving forward.

This special session has broadened the team’s macroeconomic awareness and cultivated a strategic mindset for evaluating industries and markets. Professor Qian’s granular analysis of 2026 industrial performance data gives Fine‑Blend a solid foundation to assess downstream demand volatility, capture structural opportunities including high‑value plastic recycling and domestic substitution, and devise well‑informed strategies for overseas capacity deployment and corporate governance. Building on this training, Fine‑Blend will embed macroeconomic analysis more deeply into its market‑trend tracking and corporate decision‑making processes, bolstering its sustained commitment to advancing the polymer materials industry.
